TRIO GIG!— “ SAGE GENTLEWING and RUNAWAY TRAIN" !

FEATURING : Sage Gentlewing - Guitars / Vocals

Derek Jorgenson- Bass, and Alberto Barajas on Drums!

SGW and Runaway Train play the original songs and instrumentals of multi award winning Songwriter/ guitarist ,Sage Gentlewing, AND choice Rock , Pop, Americana, Blues and jazz covers arranged by Sage.

They play tightly written tunes but often include extended jams that rock the house.

They have their own unique sound , but Sage’s songs have often been compared to many of the world’s great bands , Like Steely Dan ,The Beatles, Grateful Dead , due to his often unique and complex use of Chords, and rhythms., His guitar playing ,sound and style, has been likened to master Guitarists like Larry Carleton, Robben Ford, Kenny Burrell, Cornell Dupree and Jerry Garcia depending on the songs.

He prefers to be just taken for what he is, a guitarist who has been playing a very long time professionally, so naturally has absorbed many of the same influences as his heroes as he progresses along the way now in his 57th consecutive year as a working musician.

Derek and Alberto create the perfect foil for Sage’s style , creating a true synergy of interactive musicianship. “The devil’s in the details” as the saying goes and this is a band dedicated to small but crucial details…Dynamics,tightly written songs, great memorable melodies,good musicianship, listening skills, SOUND quality, stage presence, TONE, adding different colours throughout the show.

Chicago Trip

My wife and I will be visiting a friend of her’s between Oct 12 and the 21st. Though I may end up Playing a gig out there with a couple of MY friends , who also live there , I won’t be available to book any gigs in New Mexico, for that duration .

I WILL be available for bookings as of Oct 25th, or by Oct 11th at the latest.

Multi award winning Songwriter /Singer / Guitarist , Sage Gentlewing steps out to present his songs with full band arrangements that promises to be one of the most distinct sounds coming out of Las Cruces in a long time.

This is their first gig ever with this new lineup. This is fresh music with Heart,Soul,and a great sense of melody , skillfully rendered with a unique synergy between the players. The general vibe of the band is Blues based Pop, Rock , but with Jazz based intelligence in the arrangements and chords. Think “ Steely Dan, vintage Grateful Dead, Beatles… but this is primarily an ORIGINAL band, showcasing Sage’s songs. Not to be missed!
